Musk / Musc by Ava Luxe

Is this actually Nude Musk that's listed here? Because if it is, I am in looooove with it. It drives me and people around me wild. Stays on forever and a day. Worth a try. Thumbs wayyyy up for musk fanatics.

Fahrenheit by Christian Dior

Yes it's a man's fragrance but I happen to like it on myself. It lasts forever so I have to remind myself to be careful. I dont know if I can smell any of the notes listed, but I like the amber-y scent this leaves on my clothing.

Champs-Elysées by Guerlain

I used to love this one. I still like it but I'm not in love with it. Its very distinct, not easily mistaken for something else, and for me I always picture a champagne bottle when I smell/use it.

Very Irrésistible by Givenchy

Tabbouleh? Is it just me or did this actually smell like my cucumber/cilantro garden? Is that what I smelled today at the perfume counter? I only tried this on paper, next visit will be on skin. I have mixed feelings about this so far.

Organza by Givenchy

I am so glad I tried this on me today. Beautiful scent. It smells light and delicious and seems to suit me (a DARK complexioned 33 year old) nicely. I wish it wasn't so common; I'm pretty sure I smell this scent on someone almost everywhere I go.

Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia by Estée Lauder

Why does this cost $300? It's a beautiful scent but not worth that price tag I think. I once used a scent that I bought from Genovese drug store also called Gardenia about 15 years ago, which was my senior year in high school, and it smelled just like PCTG. That scent cost around $8. I wish I could remember the perfume brand. I have never seen it since.

Obsession by Calvin Klein

Thank God for Sephora and their sampling stations.

I really wanted to like this fragrance. When I first sprayed it I thought wow what a nice opening. It smelled citrusy and clean. When that wore off about half an hour later, I started smelling leather. Ok, I thought, leather is not an bad smell, it's actually a good smell. For years I kept with me a small leather clutch purse and I loved opening it so I could get that smell. So, happy memories with the leathery smell. But then, about 2 hours later----yuck! Ever smell sweaty socks and the inside of an old school pencil sharpener? That's what I got. Not only that, I then realized that THIS was the stink that lingered on everyone I knew back in 1988!! Oh God I thought. So many people like this. And now, almost 7 hours later, this stink is still on me, like I just sprayed it but the nice smell that I loved at the beginning has been replaced by--let's see, I'm sniffing--yes, old-school pencil sharpenings. Number 2 pencils, like the ones needed to take those scantron exams. Maybe I finally discovered the source of my test anxieties? I'm going to find the strong rubbing alcohol I have stashed away someone and I'm rubbing it in HARD on my skin. Thumbs way down!

Vivara (new) by Emilio Pucci

I was surprised by Vivara. This is a very lovely and a very very "green" smelling scent. I see fresh cut grass with white and purple flowers all around when I smell this. It does last a long time on skin. You can detect the patchouli way later--hours later. I really like it.

Vanilla Fields by Coty

Who didn't wear this in 1994? It was everywhere. I always associate this scent with Hootie and the Blowfish for some reason. I still keep a purse sized spray bottle around, and I use it to freshen up the restrooms at my job. No joke. Not an outstanding fragrance, but ok.

Jovan White Musk by Jovan

I like to layer this with Bath and Body works fragrances. Works very well.

Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills

I wore the hell out of this one in the late 80s and early 90s. The smell was everywhere back then. Still one of my top favorites. Better for the winter months than the warmer months. I'm actually going to purchase it for this year's holidays! This reminds me of I guy that never paid any attention to me until we were at a friend's wedding and we danced really close, all night long. Must have smelled really good to him!

Raffinée by Dana

On me this smells like fresh applied baby powder. I get some fresh citrusy notes too. Nice fragrance for daytime, won't knock anyone down.

Jean Nate by Revlon

I'm surprised to see this listed as a woman's fragrance. My father would always splash this on after shaving. It smells great and I love it, it will always remind me of daddy and the buzzing sound of his electric shaver.

Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath and Body Works

This has been my favorite for years but it does get played out after a while. One of the best at B&BW

Velvet Tuberose by Bath and Body Works

Anyone who is a fan of Givenchy's Amarige will love this scent. Not overpowering or too sweet. My new favorite for the summer.

Calèche by Hermès

I liked the warm woody notes at the beginning but then over several hours the scent started to remind me of old linens stored away in a forgotten drawer for several years. Stays on for a very long time.

Fracas by Robert Piguet

the first time I sampled it on a paper strip I thought it smelled nice. Today I put it on my skin. It took on a very chemical overtone and then it dried down to a sour butter smell. After 3 hours, disappeared completely. Not worth the price tag.
