Alyssa Ashley Musk by Alyssa Ashley

I am the queen of musks! They just work for me! They're clean smelling. This one is very feminine, fresh and clean smelling. I can't see it for a guy, nope, not at all! A bit too feminine. Very nice.

Adidas Moves for Her by Adidas

This stank bad like some chemical warfare crap or like a bug spray. So strong and sharp that it brought tears to my eyes every time I sprayed it! Thank god it was a very small bottle! Pew! Just bad! Sickly sour stuff!
09 June 2008

Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche

So highschool! And it has a stinkiness to it, like b.o. or stale farts. It's just dirty smelling. It is powerful stuff, but it dries down to a stinky deathlike musk. Kind of earthy like. My husband got a free bottle from a friend and I sighed shaking my head thinking, "I hope he uses it for work and not around the house!" It just doesn't smell right! Cheap smelling.

Émeraude by Coty

I'm blown away by all these good reviews! Seriously, this stuff reeks bad! My mom loves this and I can't figure out why! I guess I should be happy when she wears it, because then I don't have to smell that other stinky stuff patchouli oil. Oh, LORD! Or Tabu! Or Maja! Why does she like the stinkies? It does dry down nicely to a powder, but, well, it's too chemical like! Too sharp! When applied lightly, then maybe I see this being okay. Not for me.

Vanilla Musk by Coty

Not a bad vanilla. I liked the Dark Vanilla better. But this was softer, not as sweet as the Dark Vanilla. Still, it was a bit boring. I love musks, but this didn't do anything for me.
09 June 2008

Vanilla Fields by Coty

Not bad, but, boring. I really didn't sniff any vanilla, it was more of a powdery floral. Pretty and feminine, but blah..................
09 June 2008

Sand & Sable by Coty

I like this, but, well, I smell like suntan lotion! It smells flowery on others, but on me I smell like Hawaiian Tropic. I picture a day at the beach lying out in the sun on the sand with the waves crashing ashore drinking a pina colada..................Pretty on others, but not on me!
09 June 2008

Preferred Stock by Coty

Just sniffing the bottle I can tell this was/is going to be a nauseating scent. It is! It dries down to a dirty powder smell.........kind of like death, dirty, stinky sweat. Yuck, yuck, yuck! There are better Coty choices....Aspen, Gravity. This is a barf chunk inducer. Seriously, it's on my barf list.
09 June 2008

Longing by Coty

This was very pretty and feminine. Easy to wear as it was soft and never offensive to other noses. Besides the Aspen, this is a winner from Coty. I don't see it in stores anymore, but it's online. It dries down to a powdery floral musk. Very nice and a bit more pricier than other Coty fragrances, which means this is more of a quality fragrance.
09 June 2008

Dark Vanilla by Coty

I liked this one. I usually hate sweet stuff, but this was very warm and sultry to me. It wasn't bad at all, nothing to go wild over, but okay. For a cheapie, this was a good vanilla, I say was, because I can no longer find it, which must mean that it wasn't a big hit anyway. Oh, well, so many vanillas, so little time!
09 June 2008

Aspen Sensation by Coty

My husband thought this was the original Aspen just repackaged.........oh, so wrong! This chemical crap really stinks! It was too chemical like on me and it was sour smelling! It's trying to be aquatic/marine and it's so not! It's a bug spray! Yuck, just yuck!
09 June 2008

Aspen for Women by Coty

This is one of the perfumes that I CAN wear! I also love Jovan's White Musk. This is outdoorsy and fresh smelling. I smell exactly like the bottle! It starts out with a strong alcoholic blast, but it soon dries down to something unique. It ends up as a type of powder scent on me. Never overpowering, so other noses will not be offended. I can bathe in this stuff and it's never too much! One of the best from Coty! And it's cheap. Can't find it anywhere but online.
09 June 2008

Aspen for Men by Coty

My husband wears this and I love it! It's fresh, outdoosy and clean smelling. It's not powerful stuff and I like how it softens a bit after awhile. Good cologne for being in stores. Great price, too! I think it's the best of Coty's!

Wings by Wings

I've come to the conclusion that anything by Giorgio Beverly Hills is going to stink. Think Giorgio, Red.......Wings doesn't disappoint in this case. It stinks like the other toxic chemical wastes Giorgio Beverly Hills produces. Way too sweet that it's barf chunk inducing. Nauseating stench and cheap.
21 April 2008

Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger

My cousin and sis wore this and I really don't see the big deal! It's too sweet smelling to me. Nauseating. And cheap smelling.
21 April 2008

Lady Stetson by Stetson

Spicy, sharp and cheap smelling.
21 April 2008

Enjoli by Revlon

Is this still around? Cuz' if so, I want to buy! And buy alot! This was one of my mom's favorite and now she wears bad odors like Emeraude, Tabu, Maja, and Patchouli oil......oh, if this is available, maybe she'd wear it and we'd all, finally, get to sniff something pleasant once in awhile! It's a soft floral and slightly sweet, but not too bad.
21 April 2008

Safari by Ralph Lauren

Pretty, but too sweet smelling on me and you know what the sweet smelling juices do to me--stomach churning, not good! The men's is nice, though!
21 April 2008

Polo by Ralph Lauren

I kind of like this one. It reminds me a bit of Aspen by Coty and Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche, but better I think. More elegant, refined. Drakkar is a bit too dark and nasty dirt smelling, and Aspen is quite mellow. I remember the boys in highschool wearing this and I would go into hysterics how they so overdid it that it stank. One guy even came into class drenched in the stuff that for awhile I hated the stench. Now that hardly anyone will wear it anymore, I like it. I like the older scents that so many men are staying away from because of the new "sissy" scents(too soft in my opinion). This is what a MAN wears. I like men who aren't afraid to wear the oldies but goodies. So sexy! Oh, and my man gets SO many compliments from the ladies when he wears this! Back off ladies! He's all mine!
21 April 2008

Wind Song by Prince Matchabelli

Okay, like I get this one confused with that one from Dana, Heaven Sent. Kind of similar on the dry down being powdery and soft. But both stink. They start out as quite strong and a bit chemical on application and dries down to a powder scent. Cheap smelling, too.
21 April 2008

Skin Musk / Bonne Bell Skin Musk by Prince Matchabelli

Not one of my favorite musks, in fact, my least liked. I remember when Bonne Bell had it, every girl in junior high wore it. Boring! It also smells phony and very, very cheap. Not a true musk, but good for preteens.
21 April 2008

360 Degrees for Women by Perry Ellis

Gross. Too sweet smelling as in very nauseating. It smells good in the bottle, but actually wearing it is a totally different thing. And it's not a good thing at all. Very cheap smelling, too. Gosh, aren't most perfumes though? I have yet to come across anything really outstanding. Most are very blah, blah, blah. So is this. Even more so than others. I can't believe I wore it! I must've been in a drunken haze..........
21 April 2008

cK one by Calvin Klein

This stuff stinks! It's more masculine than feminine, so I smelled like a guy! Yuck! A guy at work wore this and I told him he stank awful. 'What! I payed over $50 bucks on this!' Oh, okay, like that means you're not supposed to stink, right? NOT! This is one of the worst I've smelled! And it smells cheap and sickly! It's very nauseating to smell and wear. One of Klein's worst. It's very sharp, crisp and strong when first applying, but that sweet-sour chemical odor! It's on my bug repellent list. And it stinks on everyone I've smelled it on!
21 April 2008

Escape for Men by Calvin Klein

I'm confused......to me Escape smells similar to Eternity? Both stink and both dry down to something sickly sweet, on my stepdad anyway. And the women's isn't any better. Same sickly sweet afteraffect. Really, what, besides Obsession, is good from Calvin Klein?
21 April 2008

PS by Paul Sebastian

My stepdad had this and it reminds me a bit of that Lagerfield. Both stink like B.O. drying down to something sickly sweet. On him anyway. Like I said on the review of Lagerfield, thank god he liked the Obsession more! Cheap smelling stuff.
21 April 2008

Oscar by Oscar de la Renta

Way too soft and girlie for me. I mean, I even forgot I had it on! Hell, I could barely sniff it! Too floral for me as I like something with a bit more depth and intrigue about it. There's no interest here. Boring. And cheap smelling. But man! Does this stuff come in huge bottles! I've seen it at Beauty Boutique in huge ounces! Yeah, because they're trying to get rid of it! It's so bland, plain, blah, blah, blah. If you don't like strong stuff, this may be it for you, because it's one of the softest I've sniffed.
21 April 2008

L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci

Whew-wee! This joins that barf inducer list along with Giorgio and other stinky, bug spray chemical toxic wastes! Boy, this really stinks bad! My sis wore this and that other stinky Giorgio in the 80's. I wonder, did anyone ever tell her she stank? Who the hell am I to laugh? I wore the Red and Tabu! TABU! OMG, the poor choices we had in the 80's! And it hasn't gotten much better! But this is a very strong and sharp scent that doesn't tone itself down at all. Very distinctive and not in a good way at all. It stings the eyes and snot begins to run from your nose on application. Very potent stuff! This is the stuff chemical weapons are made from! It's got to be! This would be perfect for a chemical weapon because it clears the whole room out! Seriously, this is rancid stuff! Every finger down on this stench!
21 April 2008

Maja by Myrurgia

This is another of my mom's favorites that I'm beginning to think that she really likes stinking! I mean, okay, this is better than Emeraude, Tabu, patchouli oil....but, not by much! It's heavy, spicy and too much like incense! You know, like those triangle incense thingies you light on fire to smoke out your house? Yeah, those stinky things! Or those tall and thin stick things you burn.........yuck! Thank god she likes the soap better, as it's more nose friendly!
21 April 2008

Realities (original) by Liz Claiborne

Sickly sweet to me. My sis wore it and same thing. A bit nauseating. I really don't care for Liz Claiborne's perfumes/colognes. They're cheap smelling to me.
21 April 2008

Love's Baby Soft by Love's

Okay, first, the other Love versions stank. The original is the best, even though it smells a bit phony like to me. It's soft and dries to a powder, like baby powder! Duh! Wow! I mean, really, I'd just rather go out and purchase the lotion and powder instead! Nothing exciting here. But, good for the little girls and preteens.
21 April 2008

Lucky You for Women by Lucky Brand

This is quite soft and powdery, but a bit too sweet for me. It's nice though. Kind of bland and boring. Too plain to rave about really. It was fruity which may explain why it was sweet to me.
21 April 2008

Trésor (new) by Lancôme

This smells so heavenly, in the bottle, of course! No, not on me! Others have worn this and it's pretty, but nothing like what's in the bottle! How so teasing! It's kind of fruity smelling, but I catch floral notes as well. It was a bit too strong at first only to dry down to a musty like powder. I thought this was one of the better scents to come out in the 90's. I still like the smell. Not on me, though. Only in that pretty bottle.
21 April 2008

Lagerfeld Classic by Lagerfeld

God, didn't most classics stink? Here's no exception. This was too sweet smelling and a bit feminine for a men's cologne. My stepdad had this and I hated it. Too soft. Thank god he preferred Obsession to this cheap sweet concoction. It's like bad B.O. in a bottle! Really! So nauseatingly bad.
20 April 2008

Jovan Musk by Jovan

A nice musk. Not as good as my signature, Jovan's White, but it is nice. Better than that funky Wild Musk. Don't like that one too much. This is a much cleaner musk, a more true musk. Thank god for musks, otherwise I would wear never wear perfumes.
20 April 2008

Jovan White Musk by Jovan

Drum roll please! I've finally found the perfume for me! I've thrown out the trash only to keep returning to this soft, clean, floral musk. I love it! And you can't overdo it with this like the others. People know me by this wonderful stuff. Alot of people have said it smells cheap, but not on me! It smells refined and elegant for a musk. My sis wears this and it's a bit too floral on her that I don't like it, on her, that is! Now on me, it's a much different and better story! I smell just like what's in the bottle! Never have I had that happen! Finally, a scent that's not deceiving. I love musks, so I knew this would work. But this is more soft and feminine than the other musks, like the Wild Musk or Jovan's Musk. This is much nicer in my opinion. So soft and pretty! Never offensive. Love, love, love it! All fingers up on this one!
20 April 2008

Joy by Jean Patou

So 80's and boy, did the 80's reek bad! This stench is no exception. Bad. Just a strong, sweet floral that smelled cheap! It stayed on forever and it could be smelled in the next state even! It turned sweet towards the end, so it was quite nauseating. A good ole' barf inducer.
20 April 2008

Jean Nate by Revlon

A spicy, bitter lemon scent. Too sour smelling for me with a sharp zing that hits your nose. Not nice and pleasant to splash on after a bath at all. I'd rather have something soft, clean, powdery. But hey, different strokes for different folks.
20 April 2008

Delicious by Gale Hayman

This is a screamer. Too sweet and very loud about it. It was barf inducing to me and it's like that when others wear this juice. Too much candy going on that I couldn't stand it! It's like a cheap candy shop. And boy, can you smell this sweet concoction from far, far away! Most of the gals I knew who wore this was a bit old. God, how they stank! If only they knew!
20 April 2008

Youth Dew by Estée Lauder

Way too moldy smelling to me. Stale. Old. I thought it would dry down to a soft powdery musk, nope, it's an old stale and moldy odor that lingers with a vengeance. This smells like death. A funeral. Like dirt. Old rotting corpses. I think everyone gets the idea about this stench. One of the worst I've smelled. Avoid it.
20 April 2008

White Linen by Estée Lauder

Cheap and phony, like it's trying to be clean laundry or something, but didn't quite make it. Very strong and chemical like. This would make a great bug repellent. Really. It's quite potent. It dries down, but it just stinks awful. There's nothing clean about this.
20 April 2008

Knowing by Estée Lauder

Very strong. And it stayed that way. It was a dark, thick, incense like scent. Too heavy for me. I like the lighter stuff. This stank, but then, Estee Lauder's stuff usually do. Sad, really, when they make fabulous makeup.
20 April 2008

Beautiful by Estée Lauder

This stank. Too strong and chemical like. I don't like most Estee Lauder perfumes because they're all outdated smelling scents. Okay, they stink.
20 April 2008

Passion by Elizabeth Taylor

This was way too sweet smelling to me. It never dried down to anything but a sickly sweet, fruity scent. Yuck! I just don't do fruity/aquatic scents well at all.
20 April 2008

Cool Water Woman by Davidoff

Yuck. And I knew it, too, because it's an ocean/marine/aquatic scent which I never wear well at all, because they turn sour on me. This did the same. And it was a bit too sweet for me as well. It's a sticky, sweet, candy like scent. Bubbly. The men's didn't smell much better either. They both smell cheap, too.
20 April 2008

Happy by Clinique

Wow! This is some strong stuff! It smells fun and sparkly in the bottle, hence the name Happy. I get it, until I put it on! Whew! It stinks of cheap and sharp chemicals! Too brash and way too strong! This isn't shy at all! In fact, it's loud and in your face. It screams, "Notice me!" And we all do, believe me, we do! It's also sour smelling at the end and so, I just was not happy at all. Not at all.
20 April 2008

Ombre Rose L'Original by Jean-Charles Brosseau

I wore this back in the 90's and liked it when it dried down because it was a soft powder. At first, it is strong and quite floral, but it dried down nicely. It's a pretty and feminine scent.
20 April 2008

Tatiana by Diane Von Furstenberg

I had used this back in the 90's when it was very strong and sharp that it made my eyes water and my nose run. It was that strong. Thank god it softened down! And it was quite nice, still a bit strong for my tastes, but not awful. It is at the beginning. Then, I got a sample bottle at the .99 cents store and it's sooo weak and flowery, not at all like it was back then. Hell, it's a completely different perfume! Anyway, I'll pass.
20 April 2008

White Shoulders by Elizabeth Arden

I know they've changed it from the original formula. It's not as sharp and crisp as the older version. It's still nice, soft, clean and flowery, but not the same. It's almost too soft. So, this would be perfect for those who don't like strong scents. My mom wore this back in the 70's, yup, when it was the good stuff. I liked it better than, but I still like it. Just watered down, I guess. It reminds me of coming from the shower. It is a bit soapy, now that I think about it.............
20 April 2008

Guess (original) by Guess

I kind of liked this one. It was spicy but not too strong or sickly, like some of these spicy scents are. It was sharp when first applied, but it softened quite a bit at the end, which made it nice. Too bad it's not available anymore, as I hear the new one sucks.
20 April 2008

Design by Paul Sebastian

This smells like it would be a fun scent, until you put it on. It stank bad, yes, like some chemical waste, similar to bug spray. It's sparkly and sharp. Much too strong for me, not soft at all.
20 April 2008

Sweet Honesty by Avon

Sweet, powdery, clean sums this one all up. I liked it better in the bottle than on me because I smelled similar to those Bounce dryer sheets. Not good! I mean, who wants to smell like a laundromat? Good starter scent for little girls, preteens, or those not too keen on wearing strong perfumes. It just smelled too phony to me. I think I'd rather wear that Love's Baby soft or plain baby lotion, powder, etc., than this. Not Avon's worst, but not it's best either. And yes, it has that distinctive Avon odor at the end which, probably, made it smell cheap and phony.
20 April 2008

Rare Pearls by Avon

Oooh, I really don't like this one. Imari is way worse, but, this stinks so sickly sweet, that I can't stand smelling it without wanting to barf chunks! My aunt-in-law had come over one day having bathed in it and she left this chemical waste floating all throughout my house. And it was so bad! An older gal might enjoy this, but I don't know, it is very sweet smelling. My house wasn't rid of this stench until the next day, and even then I smelt leftovers. Yuck, yuck, yuck Avon!
20 April 2008

Rare Gold by Avon

A good one from Avon, which totally threw me, since they usually all suck! But as much as it smelled nice, it had no staying power, nada, nothing at all. My mom got the second bottle and she also liked this. It's soft, amber-musk like on me. Nothing to scream about, but, nice. Boring, plain. But it didn't stink like Avon's others. A good choice if buying from them.
20 April 2008

Haiku by Avon

Not bad, for being Avon, that is. But, it has that Avon signature smell at the end. Like it's cheap, old smelling, and not as in old lady, like as in it's been sitting too long. It's soft, flowery and powder like. But boring, like most of Avon. Really, I don't think I'll ever like Avon's perfumes.
20 April 2008

Imari by Avon

This tops my list of barf inducing perfumes. Awful, just awful. And on everyone. This is thick, rich, smoky, but a sickening sweet odor. Like you're trying to cover up bad body odor or something. Just nasty! It's a strong incense perfume. I totally see my mom wearing this toxic waste, really. She loves patchouli oil and Tabu. This is somewhat similiar because they're all heavy and smoky. Yuck! All fingers down on this one.
20 April 2008

Obsession for Men by Calvin Klein

I don't care for most of Calvin Klein's scents, too chemical, sweet smelling to me and on alot of people. But, for some reason, I find Obsession to be, well, an obsession! I really like this, on the right man, of course! Otherwise, it is too sweet and yucky smelling. It's nauseating even. My stepdad wore this to work and he was clean cut and well put together that this scent just worked magically on him. I remember that of all his colognes, and he had enough to fill a pefume's counter in a dept. store, this was my favorite. When I smell this, it does things to me, good things, I mean! It brings to mind words from that L.L. Cool J/Jennifer Lopez song....."Like I'm jumpin' on ya like I wanna, like I wanna, wanna.................".it's some club song, but I think everyone gets the idea! No other scent does that! It's one of Klein's best, I think. The others just stink.
20 April 2008

Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills

Okay, the Giorgio that my sis wore absolutely stank baaad! But this wasn't too bad, not great, but not awful like the Giorgio. This is what I remember wearing throughout highschool after that awful Tabu insident. It is strong and a bit chemical like, but it was also fruity like and it was sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet because I remember I never reacted friendly towards it. It wasn't a favorite then and it's not now. It was too gut-wrenching for me so I've clung to the musks ever since. Just can't do most perfumes.
20 April 2008

Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills

This chemical waste absolutely stinks! And on everyone I've ever smelled it on! Friends, sis, yes, I confess, even me! Very strong and pungent, in your face scent and it doesn't soften. It stays strong and stinky. There's nothing soft or feminine about this. It's sweet and sour like. Bad, just bad. And it gets worse. My sis wore this throughout highschool and I wore the Red. Boy, we sure stank back then! Sorry, I can't say anything nice about this scent and along with Emeraude, Tabu, Patchouli oil, this tops my barf inducing list of the worst perfumes ever! Really, it should be bottled for a bug spray! It's that bad!
20 April 2008

Vanderbilt by Gloria Vanderbilt

This is another favorite of mine, besides the musks, that is. This is a fun, playful, a bit fruity kind of scent. So I was shocked that I liked it and just as shocked when it worked for me. It wasn't too sweet like I thought it would be. It dried down to a soft, fruity powder scent. I really didn't catch any florals too much in this.
20 April 2008

Tabu by Dana

OMG, this nightmare is one of my mom's favorites from the drugstore. Although I really loathe this smoky, deep, rich stink bomb, my mom wears this well. I picture sulty, aggressive women wearing this, kind of like Miss Scarlet from that board game called Clue that I've always played back in the 80's. Yes, she was sexy, sultry, mysterious, confident. She probably wore this. To me, it smells of dirty sex. In highschool I had the guts to wear it and it was very strong, but it dried down to a dark, smoky musk. And the worst of it was that I couldn't get the stench out of my shirts! Even after repeated washings, it was still there! This should be bottled for chemical warfare-it never goes away! And most hate it! This will surely clear the room out! Warning:Use with caution(a little goes a long way!).
20 April 2008

Heaven Sent (new) by Dana

Well, I never cared for Heaven Sent. It was too strong and chemical like when first applying that did dry down to a powdery soft scent. But, it was just, well, stinky. On my sis, it really stank because I didn't smell any soft powder scent from her, just that strong chemical odor. And it was a bit sweet smelling.
20 April 2008

Chantilly by Dana

Of all the store bought perfumes, this is one of my favorites that my mom wears. Why can't she use just this, instead of those stinkies Tabu and Emeraude? Or worse, that chemical waste, patchouli oil. Chantilly is soft, powdery and feminine. It's a comforting scent that's light. I would even use it.
20 April 2008

Wild Musk by Coty

Not as nice as Jovan Musk or my signature scent, Jovan White Musk, but it was nice and playful. A bit different. I like musks, so this was worth a try.
20 April 2008

Ex'cla.ma'tion by Coty

Yucky! Too strong. After awhile it softened to a powder, but I couldn't get past the strong spiciness of it! It was a bit chemical like as well. On another gal it worked well though. I even complimented her on it and was surprised that it was Exclamation.
20 April 2008

Dulce Vanilla by Coty

Dark Vanilla was VERY nice! This was too sweet, sickly smelling for me. Very much like candy. Where the Dark Vanilla dried down and softened, this doesn't. IT also smelled a bit like plastic and cheap smelling. Not good at all.
20 April 2008

Pur Désir de Gardenia by Yves Rocher

This was just horrible to smell! I thought it might lighten up when I wore it, but, nope! I just got a very strong, stinging chemical waste odor from this. Way too spicy! Yucky, yuck, yuck!
20 April 2008

Ming Shu Fleur Rare by Yves Rocher

I liked this at first, but then it smelled different on me! At first it was kind of soft, flowery and powdery, later, it was strong and chemical-like! Too pungent to me and a bit sour. It was a bit marine like. Hmmm...................
20 April 2008

Homme Nature by Yves Rocher

I buy this for my husband and we both like it. On him it's a refreshingly cool, light scent, not at all too strong. Although I like it, it's a little on the boring side. There's nothing really unique about it. Nice and comforting.
20 April 2008

Comme une Evidence by Yves Rocher

This smells really pretty-in the bottle, that is! On me it stank badly of some chemical waste! Too bad because I really wanted it to work for me! Oh, well! So many perfumes, so little time!
20 April 2008

Greenbriar by Caswell-Massey

I've purchased this for my husband many times and we like it. It's kind of soft, not loud at all. On him it's very clean and fresh smelling. Not strong at all. Although I like it, it is a bit boring, blah, plain.
