Ta'If by Ormonde Jayne
Super! First of all a "Date" note here is not supposed to stand out , but rather is supposed to render general sweetness to a scent ( IMHO ) . "White Peach" note however is synthetic here, which isn't a drawback since all peach notes nowadays ARE synthetic. And finally "Musk" compliments "Peach" note very well. Hence powdery sweetness. I must admit it is very well done. It IS refined indeed. It is quite unique. Ta'if - is Oasis in a desert and it is all true , (this is exactly how I imagine oasis in a desert to smell like - A thousand of Roses). It is actually ideal for daytime use . Highly , highly recommended !!! And many thanks to Ormonde Jayne for such beautiful fragrance!!! Truly one of a kind !

Oxygène by Lanvin
A Candy-like fragrance that is urban and sexy. I don't get any marine or wet or ozone associations like in "Ciel pour Femme" for example, but to me Oxygene- is peppery piquent and sweet. Assosiation I get is - a girl that lives in a capital city, follows fashion and is busy meeting lots of friends each day. Interesting. Very interesting perfume.

Narcisse Noir by Caron
Always thumbs up!!! I agree it is a - Floriental. What they call a "dark" fragrance. On the opening however, honestly, I can smell a soft tender banana pulp. A kind of green banana rather than a ripe one. Could it be daffodils ? I don't know . A sort of hay-like or dry grass hint orange flowers but at the same time very rich and very round scent. I intentionally bought EDT but now thinking of getting in again in pure perfume for even stronger power and round-ness ! It is very erotic I must admit. I smelled undiluted civet ( it smells like urine ) so I can detect civet in NN . It seems to me that animalic notes make perfumes warmer or something.
If by definition " A good perfume is one that you want to inhale again and again " is right, then NN is a very good perfume !!! The sillage is just beyond words!!!( Requires an expensive dress , though )

Prada Infusion d'Iris by Prada
I somehow do not believe that a woman should smell like this , though. No wonder they have a bigger bottle for linen . Exactly. That's how sheets and pillows should smell !!To my nose Prada Infusion d'Iris is a smell of chalk. Yes, school chalk. Or mould. Or both. I much prefer Courreges in Blue with nice uplifting Basil and same damn-aldehydes. Each generation has got a hero , right? So IMHO Prada Infusion d'Iris just replaced Courreges in Blue on the market. But the idea stayed the same: clean, active, uplifting . Only I will never buy Prada Infusion d'Iris . "New" does not mean "Better" !!! So for me it's a No.

In White by J del Pozo
Absolutely gorgeous scent. I like the fact that it is not easily available ! Good! To my nose it smells like Pure Poison .The difference may be this so-called Lemon Blossom which gives In White such tenderness and sense of well-being. All notes sing in unison. Aromatherapy in a bottle !!! Are there lemons in Promesse de l'Aube? Well anyway, it is the same comfort, comfort and comfort. My only problem is the base. It is not very strong. Therefore needs re-applying. But that's fine . Definitely worth a try!!!!!!

La Collection Particulière Passage No. 4 by Christian Dior
This is a rather melancolic Rose.If it could have colour ( I mean a Rose flower) , it should be dark blue ( ???? ).
It starts off ( some of you may cough as I did ) with QUITE a spicy peppery note.( Chilli peppers - as I was told in Dior Boutique.) Then it transforms into sort of sweet-and-sour and very ripe red wine-ish smell to me. It is a Soliflore Soliflore i.e. it is JUST A ROSE SCENT , not a rich blend in any way. It is rather comforting on the psyche.
I won't debate here on the price since I am convinced that perfumes can not have one. But if I was to be cynical I would suggest Stella by Stella McCartney as an option.
Funny thing : sometimes I layer it with Midnight Poison. And no matter how much of the latter I put on , Passage no.4 simply dominates till I have a really good bath or a very hot shower !! Lasting power 100% !!! Dixi.

Palazzo by Fendi
Oh god what an unpleasant combination indeed!!! Cacophony of different scents!!! In a nutshell Palazzo= Angel for Women by Thierry Mugler minus all patchouliness and plus sickly amount of tangerine!!!

Jasmin 17 by Le Labo
Well, what can I say ... This is ultimate beauty. If the face of the most beautiful woman in the world could have smell-this will be Jasmin 17, it's for sure.
I remember a long time ago (or maybe not for others) in the eighties I used to have this perfume called something Davana Franka M Berger (it might not be 100% correct).I was only 15 then and to me that perfume was the best ever possible jasmine in the whole world. And that Davana had a huge impact on me, I still remember this smell. So why am I writing all this? It's because nowadays we buy perfumes that please us but after a week they find a very dark place in our cupboards because today we bring the newer perfume in... and so on and on and on. So how shocked was I when I first inhaled Jasmin17 in Liberty....... There seemed to be no end to my inner happiness, it's hard to write about it, but it has some strong effect on my psyche, this scent. Since that day in the eighties this encounter with Le Labo's Jasmin 17 is the second biggest happiest shock for me !!! I know my review isn't very technical, but it didn' t mean to be, others will do it for me. I just wanted to make the point that there are still perfumes out there that can influence our lives, they are BEAUTY that makes us cry and will CHANGE what we call our tastes forever!!

Scandal by Roja Dove
OK, I'll spit it out straight away. It very much resembles Fiori di Capri by Carthusia. And I mean it! But not in a bad way at all!! Similar floral combination (if you like) only where as Fiori di Capri retains this true spirit of old-fashioned Eau de Cologne, Scandal by Roja Dove is made in the best traditions of Estee Lauder (if it makes any sense) without actually resembling any of her fragrances. I know it's complicated. Unlike Fiori di Capri, which is definitely sweeter and headier, Scandal by Roja Dove is a soft floral with a little bit of (I believe the best) musk, which makes it smell like the most gorgeous shampoo in the world !!! No, No, it is not an insult. The amount of musk here is so precise and well-calculated, that be it a slightly different proportion, it would (I think) totally alter the whole scent.( I also believe there are some aldehydes in this perfume, too.) The flowers in Scandal are so well-blended, that it is ( I must admit) hard to be able to smell them individually. After musk ( at least to my nose ) some smoky notes appear, which make this scent very rounded and complete. But this smokyness is rather subtle. It is an elegant perfume for an elegant woman, who I can easily see having iced lemon sorbet on her veranda overlooking Mediterranean sea so I was really surprised to see Scandal listed here as unisex....
Shall I be buying this perfume? Oh, definitely Yes!!
It deserves a very good place in my collection. (Ha! Maybe I will even stand it next to Fiori di Capri....)
