An iris frag for those who have a problem with too much iris, really. I find it a pleasant, spicy, citrus-heavy frag with just enough iris for dryness (sans the powdery, lipstick-y notes of the original Dior Homme). A definite thumbs up, yes, but do be aware that I only put on two squirts at Sephora yesterday. I was by myself for hours afterward, and so I cannot comment yet upon Dior Homme Sport's sillage. 14 October 2008

The original Dior Homme smelled too much of lipstick iris and not the sweet powderiness that others get. (I'm envious of that!) Sport tones that down and gives you more citrus for "sport" with ginger added (haha speaking of Envy...). Dries down to a sweet musk and some lavender. Nice. 11 October 2008

Tried this one the other day and it was quite a let down. Generic, synthetic and uninspiring. Thumbs down. 02 October 2008

A synthetic and generic citrus fragrance with a faint woody base. I also found the elemi note (mainly responsible for the spicy-peppery accord) too overwhelming for the majority of its duration. Pass. 28 September 2008

So, on first smell I had been given a drink of ginger beer with a slice of lemon in. I sniffed the ginger beer, and it got stuck in my nose. Thus I disliked the fragrance. However, it's very much grown on me. The citrus is fantastic. Very bright, great projection. The Ginger accord brings a much more interesting facet to the fragrance - a great spicy "asset" and separates it from being a generic citrus/fresh to something different. Longevity is also great. Very pleased with it. Just confused with an Autumn launch. 27 September 2008

This really isn't the type of citrus that catches my nose. To me, the opening comes across like a sickly sweet orange push-pop odor, underscored by a light musky base with some light autumn spices. As it dries, the sweet orange fades, and I get a strong pumpkin pie aroma. Some may love this, but I would never call is a summer or sporty scent.......or wear it, for that matter. 15 September 2008
