  |  Byredo fragrances heavily remind me of the creations by both Frédéric Malle and Biehl Parfumkunstwerke – modern, interesting, translucent but (largely) unsatisfying. I had high hopes for Gypsy Water and was interested in how the juniper berries, pepper and pine needles would be incorporated. Unfortunately, all I smelt was a boring peppery cologne-type scent with the juniper ever present (although slightly muted). Pleasant but definitely not what I was expecting. 05 July 2008 |
