At first I wasn't so sure about this scent. I smelled it while waiting for my purchase at Neimans, and all I smelled was a powdery iris and some citrus which made me think of Chanel No. 19, which I'm still coming to terms with to this day (c. 8/24/2008). Then while I shopped at Nordstrom one day, I decided to spray the air with it, not an easy feat considering they had a 200 ml tester out, but what I smelled was glorious! A burst of citrus and green notes floated in the air, and on skin it moved into an impression of fresh cut iris, just barely powdery, that segues into warmer notes of benzoin cedar and galbanum with a hint of incense. In my mind, this is what the waiting room outside the Heaven's doors would smell like--no kidding!!

Another way to describe this scent is if you took Prada Amber Pour Homme and did away with the lavender and patchouli and cut the benzoin back, this is what you would get! So Prada definitely has a thematic approach to their retail offerings, benzoin seemingly being a signature note in all of them.

If I had to choose between the mens and womens offering (I own both BTW), I'd choose the womens version just because it lasts longer on me, and does smell more interesting. Women can easily wear the mens as a lighter, EdT/EdC offering.

I'm not a fan of powder, and so had my doubts about this. But it surprised me. It has both a cool, mineral austerity and a wistful, abiding depth that reminds me of L'Heure Bleu in emotional tone if not in actual olfactory similarity. Infusion d'Iris manages to be sophisticated and well mannered while hinting at something passionate and ageless. It starts out as a light slip of a thing; then incense and cedar begin to emerge and anchor the soft floral and iris notes. Quite lovely, not a mainstream fragrance, and more original and interesting than Prada's original scent.

It is a misty, powdery iris with aldehydes; and somehow sweet. It has the rubber eraser like note as in Bulgari black. And though the aldehydes in chanel 5 strikes a headache on me this does not. This is a special scent which happens to be both modern and fairy (iris). I do not plan to buy one now but can make addiction if i try a few times more i am afraid.

This is such a great scent, I love prada amber so I really wanted to give this Daniela Andrier creation a shot and am not disappointed. I don't find this hard to wear at all and it's also quite long lasting on my skin, two big thumbs up!

A really beautiful soft, sensual, fragrance reminisent of times gone bye.
Reminds me of the film Roman Holiday.
A chic classic.
My only wish is that is was a little stronger so that the scent would last longer on the skin. Will be expensive to keep spraying repeatedly but such an outstanding fragrance is worth it.

I somehow do not believe that a woman should smell like this , though. No wonder they have a bigger bottle for linen . Exactly. That's how sheets and pillows should smell !!To my nose Prada Infusion d'Iris is a smell of chalk. Yes, school chalk. Or mould. Or both. I much prefer Courreges in Blue with nice uplifting Basil and same damn-aldehydes. Each generation has got a hero , right? So IMHO Prada Infusion d'Iris just replaced Courreges in Blue on the market. But the idea stayed the same: clean, active, uplifting . Only I will never buy Prada Infusion d'Iris . "New" does not mean "Better" !!! So for me it's a No.
