Probably the best from the Pleasures line, Pleasures Delight is an uplifting and fresh fruity-floral. It’s sweet, long lasting and has sufficient depth. Unfortunately, it does come across as more girlie rather than sophisticated. If it smelt a tad less synthetic and came across as more unique / sophisticated than it actually does, I definitely would have given it a thumbs up.

I like it. A lot. Pleasures Delight isn't as foody on me as it seems to be on others. It's sweet, pretty, and very light. If you're looking for sugar-candy sweet, you may love Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum, or Pilar and Lucy The Exact Friction of Stars. Pleasures Delight has This is one of the few scents my husband has ever commented on, and he said, "You smell good." He usually thinks vanilla-based scents smell like "cookies" or "candy", but he said Pleasures Delight is "pretty". (This means he smells some flowers. Most of the fragrances he likes on me -sadly, very few- are florals.) I don't smell original Pleasure in Pleasures Delights, nor do I smell the kind of strawberry from Miss Dior Cherie. It's along the lines of Hanae Mori Butterfly, but the patchouli dry-down saves it from being as cloying and dessert-like. I used up a whole bottle of this when it first came out, didn't wear it for about a year, and found myself missing it. I repurchased it, and I like it even better than I did originally! It's a fun, easy, happy fragrance that's great for wearing on my adventures with my kids.

Way too too strong, way to sweet! I agree - total mess...First bunch of unrecognizable flowers and fruits, then patchouli.

This is the only gourmand to date that agrees with me. The only element that feels off-balance is the overly sweet opening. The "strawberry meringue" note (as described by Lauder) is really quite potent at first, but mellows very soon to the sort of smell that you'd have on your fingers after eating strawberries on a summer picnic; warm, juicy, softened by the (now emerging) vanilla notes.

Florals develop about 2 hours in and the sweetness is rounded by more powdery vanilla and a sort of icing sugar over-warm skin; slightly caramel note.

I enjoy baking, and wearing this makes me feel like I've just spent the day making strawberry tarts and Victoria sponges; then applied some sweet floral perfume, allowed it to settle for a few hours and then hosted a tea party in the garden (featuring the aforementioned baked goods).

This will probably put many people off (and I almost wasn't sure myself at first, especially because my skin does tend to turn scents very sweet anyway).

But when in a mood for a comforting, cosseting scent, this is a good option. This has been well put together and I've enjoyed enough to get the body lotion too, which softens the effect and feels very enjoyable. A thumbs up!

It's simply too much stuff, I don't even start to recognize any particular flower or spice, it's like they just put all kind of stuff they could imagine and turn on the blender. It's too overwhelming to stand for a few minutes on your skin.

That fragrance is way too too strong! a real mess...starts out strong, then you get the very overwelming feeling of having patchouli written all over you..felt like wearing a hippie cheap scent from the sixties!!! I didnt like it at all, I gave it away after one day...

The only version of Pleasure that I really like. Reminds me a bit of Hanae Mori, but less sweet and a bit more complex. I would definitely purchase this one.

More is not always better. For example: Flowerbomb is a flower/patchouli scent. Angel is a confectionary/patchouli scent. This PD by Lauder is "ANGEL BOMB". A confectionary/flower/fruity/patchouli. Waaaaay toooooo muuuuuuuch of the indulgences our senses typically love. The topnotes are strawberry, cherry and vanilla buttercream iced yellow cake. The middle comes along with roses, jasmine & freesia, ending of course with the ever popular patchouli. Sounds innocent enough, but after wearing a sample of this fragrance, I'm reaching for the soap and water...and an Exedrin.
