  |  I agree with other users, this one is nothing like the original Hugo, which i profoundly dislike. However, i did not discover much more than the usual generic, casual type of sweetness, specific for Boss and the Hugo fragrance line. But maybe it's just me, since i'm more inclined to the formal scents- at any rate i don't see myself belonging to the age group for whom this fragrance is created, altough i don't dislike it either. 10 September 2008 |
  |  I'm surprised no one has mentioned the similarities with Acqua di gio. The bassnotes are almost identical. This goes on a little fresher and cleaner but evolves to a very similar scent. Very nice chioce considering how common Acqua di gio is.23 August 2008 |
 | I am not for Boss' fragrances, but from the minty/fruity spray on to the peppery dry down: I really like this one. It took me by surprise, the scent life is excellent as well. It smells good for my age. I hope to add this to my collection someday. 20 July 2008 |
 | This is on my "to buy" list of june. This is SO unlike Hugo, which imo stinks. It turns sour once settled and is extremely sharp from the start. Im glad that Boss has redeemed itself by making the XY the successor of Hugo, or so i hope. XY will def be in my collection soon. The XY succeeds in not falling into the mainstream synthetic and cheap smelling "fresh frags". It is organic and natural smelling from start to end imo. Only if one is sniffing another's skin would he/she notice a slight hint of muskiness.It another job well done by Boss. The XY depspite being not the overpowering male scent, does have a decent longevity. 24 June 2008 |
 | Slightly peppery with bits of fresh fruits in the opening which continues throughout. Lacks in longevity but is a decent offering from Hugo Boss. Recommended for the younger crowd but could work for 18-30. 15 June 2008 |
