This scent is like crack. The top notes are some of the most inviting and mysterious I've ever smelled. The moment I smelled it I knew I had to have it. It dries down extremely easily and lasts for a long time. My girlfriend thinks it's to die for, on me. I totally recommend trying this! You might find a new addiction. I haven't felt this way about a cologne before. 02 October 2008

I find some similarities of this scent with the D&G PH or DIOR PH, but L'HOMME is better as the other two has interesting openning but quickly proceeds to an old feminine base which causes me headache & reminds me of old grandma's purse or lipstick. This is a scent that makes you feel fresh even if it's hot & humid outside. Good sillage & longevity, lasts more than 6hrs on me. Received complements from the opposite sex wearing this understated, elegant, anytime anywhere scent. 01 October 2008

I took my time in reaching a conclusion about this one because several basenoters said that this is a scent that is not what it seems at first – that there’s a depth to it that shows itself with repeated use. This was very good advice because it didn’t seem very impressive to me with the first few testings. The top notes, while not disagreeable, seem a bit too conflicting. The ginger and the ozone do not seem a match made in heaven, and from my own personal point of view I don’t care much for the violet in the middle (Why oh why are they putting violet in every new scent nowdays?) The violet really isn’t strong enough to bother me though… and I really like the basil flower: I’ve long been a fan of those pungent beauties. It’s the drydown where the fragrance really comes into its own. The drydown is conflicting, but this time the conflict is interesting and purposeful. YSL L’Homme is a subtle presentation that did take me a while to grasp its nuances… While I thing that there are some elements in the fragrance that could stand improving, I have found out that it is not the washed out concoction I thought it was when I first tested it. This is certainly a test before you buy fragrance. 17 September 2008

Aw heck. I've got to have you. You only get better with time going from a fruity opening to a smug oriental finish that drives my female co-workers to the point of distraction; I'd be a fool not to buy you. That said, my girlfriend will probably hate you. Oh well. 11 September 2008

I went to the mall and tried this, I first smelled the nozzle, and it smelled like Burberry, the one with the silver cap in the red box, then sprayed it on the card, and it smelled soooo good. I wore this to the movies, and my girlfriend usually likes and is used to the way I smell, but since this was the first time I had worn this and since we had just left Thursady night church service, keep it holy, she had gotten extremely close, and didn't even pay attention to the movie. She usually does that when she really likes the fragrance, or if she's just "testing" it out. 04 September 2008

It's a great smell. Different from anything I smelled so far. It's kind of sweet in a refreshing way. I use it when going to the office though I think it suits best in the evening. It doesn't hold long though. After a few hours you can hardly notice it. That's why I first apply a good layer of body lotion on my neck and arm pits, rub it in and then spray L'Homme on it. By this it holds significantly longer. 31 August 2008
