  |  Like the spice, but no distinctive notes here. VC&A Original Pour Homme it's NOT. Again (as others have pointed out in other reviews here), staying power is a bit of a problem.03 October 2006 |
 |  Good citrus opening, but not very different from the openings in many other scents. Not too sweet—freshened with coriander. The coriander holds for a long time before moving into the spicy mid notes. These spices are quite tame, with the pepper coming through nicely to add elegance to an otherwise casual fragrance. The dry down is a subtle wood accord. Even though not very much about Zanzibar is new or creative, it is a good solid scent while it lasts, which is not very long.05 March 2006 |

|  Total dissapointment. Ordered without smelling, thinking of Tsar and how wonderful it is. It smacks of Romance and Drakkar Noir. It smells like pre-pubescence. Fortunately it has no staying power.29 July 2004 |

| Oh, I like this one. I find that it does last . . . and when I walk past my closet, I can smell it on my coats, scarves, etc. Lovely dry down . . . have received many compliments. The pepper at the end, gives a nice 'kick,' to this elegant little concoction. 11 April 2004 |

 | This is another beauty from Van Cleef & Arpels. On first spray it doesn't really smell that good at all. Sort of a citrusy woody mix. Give it time to settle and this comes into its own. It has a great lingering smell that I can't really describe! Kind of "mid pitched" maybe a little musky. I have found it to last well too but then again most fragrances do last on me. -- Very highly recommended!! 24 March 2003 |
