Although this doesn't really agree with what the other reviewers have said, for me, Royal Water smells mostly like crisp peaches over some light florals and a bit of musk. It's a pretty light scent if you ask me, and sort of generic smelling too. Even though it's well blended and enjoyable, it doesn't really strike me as amazing or noteworthy. Contrary to what Creed would like you to believe, it's also not the essence of Princess Diana in a bottle. There are better Creeds on the market than this, and even though I find RW to be a little too feminine for me, I wouldn't even really enjoy wearing it if I were a woman. On the positive side, it is uplifting and cheerful. 6.5/10 11 December 2008

no, no, no Sure, the lemony opening is kind of nice, but seriously, there are plenty of "crappy designer" fragrances that I'd rather smell like. And, it gets worse and worse with time. But let's put the drydown aside for a second. Even as the pleasant opening is still going strong, there really isn't any olfactory appeal here. You won't want to smell yourself, and neither will anyone else Once the top is gone, all I smell is airfreshener and cat urine. Woe to those that buy this blind. There is one plus side here. Considering Royal Water's price, uniqueness, and horrendousness, if you wear this no one is going to smell like you. 28 September 2008

This is a perfect cross between fast orange degreaser hand cleaner and deep woods off. If that's your thing then this scent is for you. I find it so appauling it is almost making me sick to my stomach! i have to go shower again right now just to get it off me. I got a few samples of this on ebay. When it arrived i put a little on my wrist and was appauled at first smell. Giving Creed the benefit of the doubt i am now in my 4th hour of wearing this scent and it smells just as bad as when I put it on. These samples are going in the trash. I wouldnt even give these away. 22 September 2008

This is my second purchase inspired by basenotes.net reviews. I have learned my lesson - try it on first. This did not work well on me and I got a bit of "mosquito repellent" mentioned by others so I should have been warned. 01 August 2008

I smelled a few Creed fragrances at the same time, and I liked this one the best. The others were decidedly floral, but this one was different. Royal Water is clean, woody, herbal, almost dry. Imagine my surprise to not find vetiver listed among the notes. It started out lemony, and I swore there was incense in there as well. As the citrus withdrew, it maintained its crisp, cool, airy character. Are you sure there isn't any vetiver? Only herbs and spices? Oh well. Overall, it smelled more masculine than feminine to me. I enjoyed this one on paper, but I didn't get to try it on my skin yet. 30 June 2008

A fresh lemony citrus that's very long lasting. Not as dry as I like but of excellent quality. I'll compare this to the original Lacoste and Homme de Gres, both excellent lemon/citrus scents. This one wins! However, I absolutely love the woods in Homme de Gres but by no means is it worse or better than Royal Water. The lack of woods in Royal Water give it a nice unisex touch to it. Very refreshing on hot days. Another excellent but understated Creed. 30 June 2008
