Leathery 80's chypre with a strange, yet interesting woody note.

This is absolutely my favourite. I must admit, some may say it is a bit old fashioned, as it reeks of the '80s, but it is certain to get you noticed without being overpowering. Its ultra masculine unlike most fragrances today and has a lovely woody chypre smell. Unmissable!

A wonderful, green and spicy mediterranean blend that the Spanish are very adept at creating. Spiciness, sillage and longevity all spot on. I would wear Para Hombre in the day and this in the evenings. Bravo Loewe.

A pungent aromatic fougere that kicks ass---but does so with aristocratic subtlety and panache.
Spaniards seem capable of creating only two types of fragrances: The very good or the very bad; and this one is on the side of the angels.
Only con is a somewhat annoying top note which mercifully settles down quickly and then serves the useful function of locking in all the coolness of the forest green accords. Good longevity. Viva!

Loewe is a luxury brand in whole Europe,very classy, but unknow in USA. Esencia is hard to find in USA , but is a pretty nice fragance, classical,not modern.Green,deep, reminds 80s,elegant....ideal for tradicional people, 40 to 50 years old.
Good longivety also.

On paper, I had a very nice experience with Esencia. The notes were light and definitely pleasant. There was a very nice differentiation within and among the levels of the pyramid. The top has a nicely combined green accord, with a strong but not dominant lavender—the top is highly and pleasantly aromatic. The heart loses most of the lavender and becomes almost pure aromatic, the sage pulling it down a little into a gray-herbal area, giving a more earthy aromatics note to the middle level. The dry down is excellent: moss, a very nice leather, and more aromatics.
So much for the paper test. The fragrance’s behavior and performance on my skin was a completely different experience.
Based on the reviews and the paper test, I was looking for wonderful things to happen after I sprayed this on my skin. No such luck. I did get the obnoxious start that others referred to—lucky me!—but the great masculine olfactory rewards didn’t happened. Everything in Esencia seems to come at me amorphously and negatively—lack of differentiation between notes and accords, lack of direction, lack of character. It is masculine but… masculine more like a couch potato—a big blob of…blob. I dislike Esencia, most likely because of incompatibility with my skin.
