It smells rather like a urinal on my skin with an orange peel rubbed on top and I waited and waited for something more to happen....

I just hadn’t gotten around to this one before. I remember walking past it in duty frees and wondering if I should try it and then passing it up to try something else. Well… this is excellent. It opens with such a great orange / orange blossom note augmented by a clear, crisp lemon. It reminds me of some of the great colognes, but there’s a real “now” attached to Eau d’Orange Vert that is missing from the older greats. When I read the middle notes I want to groan, they sound so out of place: mint and papaya and mango… I don’t really like any of them in my fragrances. But the middle is so well done… the papaya and mango notes are controlled and lusciously balanced and the mint note is perfect for accord. I love the drydown. It presents such a rich combination of patchouli and oakmoss. Sure, Eau d’Orange Vert hugs the skin, but it has a stronger character than the traditional colognes. I have no complaints about longevity. Eau d’Orange Vert performs nicely on my skin and I get about three hours from it, which is much better than I get from the more traditional colognes. This is a winner: great smell, refined accords, excellent progression, and pretty darn good longevity for a cologne. I’m looking to buy.

it's an edc not edt folks. if it lasted more than an hour then it would be a problem. for a creation created in 1979 along with chaps (EWW)!!!!!!! this is pretty special.one of the best citruses of all time but it's basically orange. no papaya detected from me but the mango and mandarin do hold it's own for the longevity of duration. all in all 7 out of 10.

It's pleasant alright... refreshing, uplifting, comfortable. But, just like most other citrus fragrances, it lacks complexity and most importantly, development and staying power. It's an easy, simple, plain fragrance that I would see myself wearing during tennis matches. I think it suits white, sporty outfits and should be worn with a relaxed, easy-going attitude.
Regarding the composition, it's simple and pretty well crafted. All I could smell was oranges and mint.

Good EdC, fantastic citrus. Just be wary that dry skin seems to soak this up and the scent is gone after an hour.
