Diorissimo smells soliflower to me; hyacinths and/or lilies. Though it is quite flat; it is a velvety smooth bodied fragrance of high quality. If you love this flowers it is a must have.

Diorissimo is the quintessential ode to Lily of the Valley and has, perhaps, a touch of Sweet Pea. I was surprised to learn from Luca Turin in his "Perfumes: The Guide" that all lily of the valley fragrances are reconstructions since no extractions from the flower are possible. Which makes me admire Diorissimo even more as it impeccably replicates the heady scent of lily of the valley. Diorissimo is a beautiful, elegant fragrance and would well suit someone who enjoys a velvety, rich white floral.

What can I say about this beautiful and timeless floral scent? Diorissimo can seem simple at first. Its composition is crystal clear and light as a veil. Yet beneath its silvery surface runs a gentle current of animal warmth that endows Diorissimo with an uncanny, mysterious depth.

Perfectly balanced, cunningly constructed, and utterly compelling, Diorissimo defies description in mere words. Wear it, be happy, and make those around you happy too.

I recently bought this unsniffed, or at least that's what I thought. It was a bargain, so I thoughht it would be worth the money to try a classic.

To my surprise I immediately recognized the scent as my dearly departed Nana's favourite. Her scarves used to smell of it when I was little and before she moved on to Dune when she was in her eithties.

This is such a comforting scent to me, probably because of my Nana's love for it, but also for my love of lily of the valley. They grow in my garden and I always get a bouquet for Mother's Day. To me, Diorissimo is the one perfume which smells closest to that bouquet. It's a lovely, pretty, timeless scent, good for both old and young. A true classic.

This soliflore is simply beautiful and smells like a true heady flower. Love this and it's a good thing it doesn't turn on me. I give this a 6 out of 5 if I could, a classic that one should at least try.

I tested Diorissimo edt today again after I don't know how many years. I was practically swooning with delight. What a lovely, lovely fragrance! It just smells like true quality. My goodness, I had forgotten what a quality fragrance actually smells like. The jasmine in it is gorgeous and first rate. I had been thinking lately that jasmine is not my friend. Not true! I can wear this jasmine beautifully. Diorissimo is now on my Christmas wish list. I'm so pleased to have found a scent that makes me feel excited to own a bottle again! :-)

I was given this aged 18 by a French friend of the family who said it was the best ever for a young woman. Although I love Lilies of the Valley I perversely preferred Miss Dior. The scent of those flowers seemed just right to me. I may go back to this or maybe to Ma Griffe (Carven) which my mother loved.

I love this when I'm in a particular mood. I love Lily of the Valley, and I love Lilac (I'm sure there's a lilac note in here somewhere), and I'm generally a very big fan of florals in general. This fragrance is fresh with a casual bouquet, and reminds me of a spring garden, which I think was the intent. It's very 1950s, very French, very floral.

My husband, for what it's worth, really doesn't like this fragrance. He says it smells to him like it would give you hay fever and attract bees, that is, he finds it to be too floral, the bouquet too fresh (he does like florals, but not this one). I don't let his opinion stop me from wearing it, of course (although if we're going out or going to spend the day together, I do wear something other than this one).

I recommend trying before you buy, and do get a good armful of it and give it time to develop, as some of the heart and end notes are very pleasant (perhaps more than the top notes for some people). I'm not sure it would suit everyone (or even most everyone; I'm not even convinced it suits me, but I like the smell enough to wear it anyway).

This was my mother's signature scent when I was growing up; needless to say, I had to have it. It's funny, but it smells completely different on me, even thought the notes remain the same. The all-powerful lily-of-the-valley will forever be one of the most appealing fragrances.

But try before you buy. I've found few people can get away with wearing something so classic, yet remain modernly chic. And certainly not a fragrance for young girls - one needs to reach a certain level of maturity to pull this off.

What a great scent this is! I loved it at first whiff and this one is so nicely done, flowers and fruits with a hint of deeper notes that round it so beautifully. It has a honey-fresh feel that it's not at all too sweet, just the right amount. I tested this one recently on an original 60's bottle and it still was amazing after all these years. It has no synthetic feel at all as it seems to be made from all natural ingredients. It lasts a long time too on a EDT, so i was very happy. And it made me happy to wear it too!

Diorissimo is the essence of spring, and as it’s creator has said,

Diorissimo is a true masterpiece by Roudniska.
It is the only Lily of the Valley scent that truly captures the scent of the flower without smelling overly synthetic and shallow. It has more depth to it than most florals have...
Diorissimo is the essence of spring...
It was designed to capture the essence of the Lily of the Valley blossoms as well as the forest where they grow... It creates an amazingly cheerful and positive, youthful aura when wearign it. I think it is a "good mood" fragrance!

The notes in it are more complex than you would think.
Top notes: Galbanum, Calyx
Heart notes: Lily of the Valley, Boronia, Rose
Base notes: Jasmine, Sandalwood, Civet

In the EDT you will mainly smell the galbanum, boronia, lily of the valley and jasmine.
The parfum has a more deep and less single-floral feel to it. The rose and jasmine are more dominant and the boronia works really well in accentuating thei green and fresh spring qualities.
Also, I detected certain amount of oakmoss in the base. It is very very subtle - but I think it does what it needs to do. I used to like the EDT much better, abut now I prefer the parfum.

I love the scent of lilies, but usually the big white oriental/Easter type lilies. This is predominately a lily of the valley scent ... those more delicate small white flowers. This is my favorite LOV fragrance, because it's sweetened a bit by other florals (lilac, jasmine) and is a really feminine scent. I get no dominant sandalwood or musk on the drydown, so it's well hidden. If someone were to ask for the best LOV perfume, this would be it.
