Diorissimo smells soliflower to me; hyacinths and/or lilies. Though it is quite flat; it is a velvety smooth bodied fragrance of high quality. If you love this flowers it is a must have.

Diorissimo is the quintessential ode to Lily of the Valley and has, perhaps, a touch of Sweet Pea. I was surprised to learn from Luca Turin in his "Perfumes: The Guide" that all lily of the valley fragrances are reconstructions since no extractions from the flower are possible. Which makes me admire Diorissimo even more as it impeccably replicates the heady scent of lily of the valley. Diorissimo is a beautiful, elegant fragrance and would well suit someone who enjoys a velvety, rich white floral.

I hate Lily of the valley with a burning passion (don't know why), so Diorissimo is like an olafactory horrorshow to me.

What can I say about this beautiful and timeless floral scent? Diorissimo can seem simple at first. Its composition is crystal clear and light as a veil. Yet beneath its silvery surface runs a gentle current of animal warmth that endows Diorissimo with an uncanny, mysterious depth.

Perfectly balanced, cunningly constructed, and utterly compelling, Diorissimo defies description in mere words. Wear it, be happy, and make those around you happy too.

I recently bought this unsniffed, or at least that's what I thought. It was a bargain, so I thoughht it would be worth the money to try a classic.

To my surprise I immediately recognized the scent as my dearly departed Nana's favourite. Her scarves used to smell of it when I was little and before she moved on to Dune when she was in her eithties.

This is such a comforting scent to me, probably because of my Nana's love for it, but also for my love of lily of the valley. They grow in my garden and I always get a bouquet for Mother's Day. To me, Diorissimo is the one perfume which smells closest to that bouquet. It's a lovely, pretty, timeless scent, good for both old and young. A true classic.
