I think it is very suitable fragrance for summer. It is light and sweety. it reminds me water with fruits, but there aren't a lot of fruit, just for light taste and scense.

The opening of lightly spiced poached pears is very pretty in the “little girl” manner that was no doubt intended, and the clean, bright, powdery base maintains the mood consistently once Petite Cherie’s pale white flower accord falls into place. Petite Cherie is vey quiet, as befits a scent for the very young, and it trails off into a sweet, powdery whisper inside of an hour. In its final moments it smells of nothing else so much as marshmallows, and what could be more appropriate in a scent for children?

I do have a reservation where Petite Cherie is concerned: while pleasant, it also seems more than a little bit insipid, and I’m not sure that’s absolutely necessary. My little girl for one, has a mischievous spark that a scent like this one cannot express. Hence, as a child’s scent I’d sooner recommend Goutal’s more pointed, though still chaste Eau de Camille, Eau de Ciel, or Le Chevrefeuille.

Opening the vial the peach aroma tickled my nose. In a few seconds after i applied it to my skin arose the rose. And in a few minutes these two combined with a grass note to be fresh cheerful tone. The chemistry should be playing a big role in reaction with this scent i think. It is very soft rosy nectarine on me. vodka? eh if you push it there is some but it is not too bitter or dry. It does not have the romantic magical aura tresor arouses with apricot and rose but still nice.

Petite Cherie is fresh fruity. On me it smells like fizzy peach and pear soda drink, sweet, young, cheerful and fresh, no bitter or dry martini notes as lots people described at all. I can't say it's awful, and frankly, I quite like it.
But the thing is, nobody would be happy to spend such a large mount of money for a fruit soda drink. And for a brand like Annick Goutal, people want more then a just "ok" juice, they expect more. So, for this point, Petite Cherie really disappoints me a little.

I find this perfume quite repulsive, which was surprising and dissapointing after the alluring description of "a sexy floral melange of peach, vanila, fresh grass and musky rose". I agree about the extra dry vodka martini, but i would go further and say it smells like a rancid bottle of bianco martini that has been sitting in your great aunts drinks cabinet for 20 years. After I have let it dry down for half an hour, i get chlorine.yep, definatley chlorine. I can just about make out the rose and maybe the peach and grass if I think about it hard, but really on me this was a terrible mishmash that would work well as a human repellant .

Someone who prefers very sweet cocktails and dessert wines to drier drinks might not find Petite Cherie sweet enough but straight up vodka is a poor analogy; it is closer to a flute of chilled prosecco or a Bellini. It smells of pear nectar with hints of honeydew (to me). The fruity top has a natural sweetness to it, rounded out with rose, vanilla and a shade of green.

Petite Cherie is a disappointment. I found it quite bitter. After applying this scent, I smelled like a extra dry vodka martini...not being a martini lover, I was totally put off. Would rather a margarita or glass of reisling.
